Are you going to Paris? Do not miss the Salon du Chocolat that will be held on October 28 to November 1, 2010 in Hall 5 of the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles. This year's theme is Ethic et Choc, a reference to the new "green" chocolate: delicious, organic and sustainable. You will be received, among other things, by a chocolate sculpture more than 6 feet tall, weighing 400 lb, constructed by the Belgian chocolat producer Leonidas. The Salon offers activities for professionals and the general public, including concerts, lectures, workshops, and lots of tasting bites. Admission for adults is € 12.50. To get there use the subway line 12 (Porte de Versailles) or line 8 (Balard). Open every day from 10h to 19h.
For more information visit the Salon du Chocolat: http://www.salon-du-chocolat.com/. Even if you can not attend the event in person, you can increase your knowledge about chocolate by consulting its site, where you can find L'Univers du Chocolat with many interesting facts about chocolate, its preparation, history and tasting. The site also has a blog with related news. It's worth checking it out.
Latest update: The 17th Salon du Chocolat will take place in the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, on October 20-24, 2011. The Salon main focus this year will be on chocolate pastry.
