Our Barbecue Night Together

So it was the Lecturer's Assessment week and at the end of that week, our project leader, Carlos had already organized a place to spend the night and have a barbecue at Port Dickson. What better way to kick off and celebrate the end of an exam week right?

So on 19th March (Friday), half of the class already left to Seremban that evening to get all the food and ingredients necessary to have the barbecue party. They bought plenty of food for the barbecue until we still had leftovers at the end of the event. Everything from chicken to squid was all rounded up in the shopping carts for the sake of the barbecue party. Hats off to those who went that night in order to get the food, then clean it as well as marinating it on the same night for the sake of the barbecue on the next day.

The following day, on 20th March (Saturday), the rest of us left for Port Dickson at around 3pm. It took awhile for everyone to come and immediately once everyone had reached, all of us sprung into action to clean the necessary utensils we needed for cooking. Once the cleaning was all done thanks to teamwork (It was actually faster than expected), we had a little fun time in the pool while waiting for dinner time. There were those who were still preparing the barbecue like chopping up the chicken into pieces and frying the nuggets. Everyone took turns taking care of the food and having fun.

When it got dark outside and everyone had freshen up, it was time to sit down and eat all that we were preparing for. Everyone was famished and couldn't wait to dig in. There was also pizza that had to picked up then joined the dinner table. Before digging in, all of us took a group picture together and then prayed as we were all grateful for the food. Immediately after that, everyone dug in and had a good time with music blasting and just enjoy the moment of being with everyone. We brought the guitar and played songs and took turns playing it too.

Later that night, fun continued in the pool with a game our class invented where the player that holds the ball could not move with it but only pass, at the same time, the opponents cannot snatch the ball by grabbing the player with the ball. The objective of the game is to knock the water bottle at each end of the pool without throwing it, meaning to say you'd have to be right beside the bottle with the ball in order to knock it off. The game sure brought lots of laughs, fun and really made that night lively. We also brought the PS4 and played fifa together against each other. The leftovers became snacks to everyone that was chilling around by the pool and in the rooms.

Once that Saturday night was over, the next morning, everyone woke up and started cleaning up all the mess and garbage that was leftover. In between the clean up sessions, breakfast was also made with all the leftover food and there was even little time for a morning dip in the pool. Once we finished cleaning up, all of us freshened up and it was time to hit the road. Many of our classmates had cendol together for lunch that Sunday afternoon, the rest just headed back to ALAM for a good day's rest.
