Top 10 highest opening weekend of 2014 : Bollywood Box Office

2014 hasn’t been a year of Box Office records so far in contrary to 2013 which saw Box Office records shattered all the way.

First four months of 2014 saw only one 100 crore grosser with Jai Ho whereas in 2013 we had nine 100 crore grosser of which 3 has even crossed 200 crores at Box Office. We saw Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express nearly made 100 crores in first weekend but 2014 so far has witnessed a struggling first weekend collections for every release. It’s only Jai Ho, which has managed to cross 50 crores in its first weekend. Although, there were no big releases in the first quarter of 2014, but still the Box Office figures are not up to mark.

Salman Khan’s Jai Ho remains the top weekend of 2014 with opening weekend collection of 58.5 crores. Jai Ho is followed by Gunday with first weekend Box Office collections of 43 crores. At no. 3, we have Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor starer 2 states with first weekend Box Office collection of around 39 crores. 2 States is followed by Sunny Leone’s Ragini MMS 2, Farhan-Vidya starer Shaadi ke Side Effects.
