Slovenia the first country in Europe to declare the end of Coronavirus

The Slovenian prime minister, Janez Jansa in a statement announced that they have managed to curb the spread of Coronavirus in Slovenia just two months after the epidemic was declared, making it the first country in Europe to do so. The first case was recorded in March 4, a returnee from Italy was said to have brought the virus into the European Country. 

In his statement, "Today Slovenia has the best epidemic situation in Europe, which enables us to call off the General epidemic."

He Said that states will no longer have to go into quarantine for at least 7days, as that was the case in early April. EU countries will be allowed into the country, but a quarantine of at least 14 days will remain in place For the non-EU countries except for some exemptions including diplomats and people transporting cargo.

Aljazeera reported that as for foreign citizens who show signs of coronavirus, will not be allowed to enter the country. Citizens are required to wear masks in indoor public space, stand at least 1.5 metres apart, and disinfect hands upon entering public spaces. 

He went forward to state that Slovenia has tamed the epidemic and has the best epidemiological picture in Europe. "Slovenia has tamed the epidemic over the past two months... Today, Slovenia has the best epidemiological picture in Europe."

He said that the end of the pandemic means some measures including financial aid to citizens and firms hit by the coronavirus, saying that the coronavirus will expire at the end of may.
